According to the preivious legal framework, before June 2022, to be able to dive the historic wrecks, a permit form the Greek Ministry of Culture was required. This permit needed a long proccessing period between the application and the final signature of the Minister. About 8 months.
There should be a representative from the Ministry onboard, an ROV was required to be onboard as well, and there were foto/video rights 1000 Euros/day. The permit was strict about the dates, so no extension could be given in case of windy weather…..
